Before I pack my bags and head to the celebrate the fest of the place where Bicol begins, I will have to celebrate first another festival in my home province.
This year’s festival will begin tomorrow, May 24 and will last until the first of June. The center of all the activities will be at the Provincial Capitol Grounds here in my hometown, Pili, Camarines Sur.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9410
AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9031, DECLARING MAY 27 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAMARINES SUR AND IN THE CITIES OF NAGA AND IRIGA IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS ANNUAL FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY
Section 1. Section 1 of Republic Act No. 9031 is hereby amended to read as follows:
“Section 1. May 27 of every year is hereby declared as a special non-working public holiday in the entire Province of Camarines Sur including the cities of Naga and Iriga in commemoration of its foundation anniversary as a political unit.”
Section 2. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
