Ang Kapitolyo at ang Museo

This is Day One of our Date in Daet 2014*

First Stop: Kapitolyo ng Camarines Norte

A trip is not complete without at least getting to know the heart of the place your touring. This is why we stepped out first at the Kapitolyo which is the legislative and the executive building of the province of Camarines Norte.

Upon arriving there, we assembled at the Freedom Park which was right in front of the Kapitolyo and were introduced to the local government unit staff and the other bloggers who were chosen by SoulSearchingSole as her solemates for Date in Daet 2014 (DiD2014).

As it was a weekend, the offices inside the Kapitolyo were closed. So we just stayed beneath the shades of the trees surrounding the Freedom Park.

After taking a good view of the capitol building and the freedom park facing it, we delved into Camarines Norte’s rich heritage by paying a visit to the provincial museum found within the vicinity of the Kapitolyo — the Museo Bulawan.

Bulawan means "gold"

Once inside, we were allowed to take pictures without flash. I gamely took pictures as Ippy had no flash. There were too many of them but here are my interesting finds:

Above: gold ores and hand-crafted gold jewelry; Below: an old-fashioned television

But wait, there’s more! Is it me or is it BB I’m seeing?

My last find is a sneak peek to our next destination.
