According to the National Museum’s official website, October is museum month.
To celebrate Museums and Galleries Month, we are opening our doors for free from tomorrow, 1 October until 31st. This includes all the 14 branches of National Museum and our flagship museums in Manila: the National Art Gallery (former Old Legislative Building), Museum of the Filipino People (former Old Finance Building), and National Planetarium.
The National Museum is located in Manila as well as other parts of the Philippines. Here is a map showing their locations. Note that the NM Zamboanga is still closed because of the recent troubles in the city, NM Butuan has been renovated and will reopen on December 12, NM Batanes is still being completed and will open in 2014, NM Natural History will open in 2015 and NM Galleon Museum is still in its planning stage. Visit us this month. Admission is free!
