A rather lazy Sunday.
After attending our Sunday service at our village chapel, I headed straight home and went back to bed.
I wanted to immerse myself in a Sunday — Sabbath in the olden times; a day for rest. And rest I did. I dozed off and got sleep as much as I can.
After lunch, I clicked through the cable channels and found a movie which was just about to start:
Not quite a relaxing movie, yeah. But I was in awe at how the movie was able to weave through a story like that. I finished the movie then went back to catch some more zzzzs.
By late afternoon, I was inspired to extend my ‘lovely’ day yesterday. I felt really good after the haircut and the mani and pedi that I wanted to pamper myself some more. I played parlor-parloran!
I did my hair first and applied the cellophane treatment I got from HBC.
I applied the wax on my hair and combed through it for an even distribution of the product. I popped a mini towel into the microwave and once it was of the right (heat) temperature, I put it around my waxed head and trapped the heat with cling wrap.
While I waited for the effects of the wash to seep through my hair, I prepared my scrub mix again, got into the shower and scrubbed myself off — sloughing off my dead cells goodbye. Teehee.
After exfoliating, I groomed myself with a clean Schick shave. This is a new trick I learned from Kha, and I tell you, it’s liberating!
I rinsed myself until the water ran clear. I made sure that I was squeaky clean. I danced and sang while I let the water run through me. It took me about an hour just to rinse myself. The water bill will surely go really high this month, I thought. Lagot kay Mama! Hahaha.
I went out of the shower looking refreshed, revived and revamped! Pwede nang commercial mowdel! I towelled myself dry and massaged on moisturizers to bring back the moisture that may have been stripped away during my long affair with the shower.
A few more hours later, I was tucked in bed again.
A lazy Sunday, indeed.
Now, who wants to play parlor parloran with me? Let’s book ourselves for the weekend!
I remain.
